Wood Street Walls is is asking the public what words they would like to see on the mural which will highlight the independent nature of the high street

A collective of artists is asking for help with ideas for a new mural on Wood Street in Walthamstow.
Wood Street Walls, working in collaboration with Wood Street Business Forum, has drafted a design for the mural which includes a series of placeholder adjectives best describing Wood Street.
However, the arts organisation is asking the public what words they would like to see in the design, alongside any further feedback. The most popular words will surround the design.
Wood Street Walls has said that the artwork, located at the corner of Vallentin Road and Wood Street, will “highlight the independent nature” of the high street.
The mural has been funded by Waltham Forest Council through UK Shared Prosperity Funding, a pot of money from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.
