Part of a balcony was damaged by the blaze which took 25 firefighters to put out yesterday afternoon

25 firefighters tackled a balcony fire in a residential high-rise building in Chingford yesterday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson from the London Fire Brigade (LFB), emergency services were called to the Lena Kennedy Close building at 3.20pm and the fire was under control by 4.19pm.
Firefighting crews from Walthamstow, Woodford, and Leyton fire stations attended the scene.
The LFB and the Metropolitan Police are both investigating the cause of the fire.
