Leytonstone taproom Pretty Decent Beer Co. is to host a second run of its sell-out Detroit pizza night on 23rd January.

The night is a collaboration with Walthamstow pizza-makers It’s Not Big Dough, with Pretty Decent providing the beers.

The taproom, which serves twelve beers on tap, also has a full wine list and spirits from Walthamstow gin distillery Victory Gin. Located on Sheridan Road close to Wanstead Park Station, the taproom also serves gluten free and zero alcohol beer.

Known for its signature square shape, Detroit pizza boasts a thick fluffy, almost focaccia-square base, caramelised cheese crust and generously sauced top. While the exact menu is yet to be confirmed, the previous offering featured a big slab of pie, a burrata and peach salad, and a serving of homemade tiramisu. The taproom promises to keep punters hydrated with “beers, a cocktail, and a shot of something fun”.

The night will be soundtracked by classic Detroit motown, soul and hip hop.

Some tables in the taproom are communal, which means small parties may be sharing with other groups. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
