The workshop will run from 1-4pm on Saturday 23rd September

The William Morris Gallery is holding a family friendly tile decorating workshop inspired by the designs of Morris’ principal ceramic designer and maker, William De Morgan.
The free workshop, which takes place between 1-4pm on Saturday 23rd September, will see artist Lucy Rainbow demonstrate how to decorate tiles with foliage and flower designs.
As a note describing the event by William Morris Gallery says, some of De Morgan’s best loved and greatest designs features animals and contain medieval, Persian and Japanese influences.
Activity participants will be guided in how to use ceramic paint and pens to decorate a 15cm x 15cm ceramic tile.
All materials will be provided. The Gallery says the activity should take 20 minutes. The last session is at 3.30pm.
Activities will take place in the Gallery’s ‘Learning Studio’ on the top floor of the Gallery, accessed by stairs and lift. The activities are suitable for children of at least five years of age.
