Nominations are open until Monday 2nd October and anyone living in the borough can be nominated
Nominations are open for the Pride of Waltham Forest, an award seeking to recognise the borough’s unsung heroes.
In a post promoting the awards, Waltham Forest Council said: “The awards shine a light on those people who go above and beyond to help others, and who make Waltham Forest a great place to live. Whether it’s a sports group that goes out of their way to be inclusive, a local business that gives back to the community, or a neighbour who brings their street together: we want to hear about them.”
Anyone living in Waltham Forest can be nominated for an award. This year, the categories include ‘Local Business of the Year’, ‘Health and Wellbeing Champion of the Year’, and ‘Leader’s Special Recognition Award’. A full list of categories is available on the council’s website.
To nominate someone for a Pride of Waltham Forest Award, people are asked to fill in a form online here, explaining why your nominee deserves to win.
Nominations will be open until Monday 2nd October and the awards ceremony will be held on 5th December.
