The under-14 team at Walthamstow FC have bagged a semi-local sponsor for their current season.
TG Lynes, a plumbing supply store in Enfield, are sponsoring the team as they take part in the Easter Junior Alliance League.
The company, which celebrates its 110th anniversary this year, has a long history of supporting charities, sports clubs and community groups close to its Enfield headquarters.
Stow FC’s head of youth development Richard Williams told the Echo: “Funding is extremely tough for amateur sports clubs. Any money we can bring in is a huge boost and allows us to offer first-rate football opportunities to young people in the area.
“The boys will be proud to wear the TG Lynes logo on their shirts.”
Laura Janaway, marketing manager at TG Lynes, added: “We’re delighted to be supporting Walthamstow FC’s Under-14s.
“It’s a fantastic club which provides quality grassroots sport for hundreds of young people across various age groups.
“TG Lynes is committed to operating sustainably. Of course, that means reducing our carbon footprint, but it’s also vitally important to us that we play a positive role in the local community.
“We are looking for further opportunities to support more good causes in the coming months. Good luck to Walthamstow FC Under-14s for the season.”
