A resident on Morland Road told the Echo the park in Coppermill Lane was cordoned off for the entirety of the next day, causing a lot of speculation among confused neighbours.

A 44-year-old man was arrested but has since been released on bail until a date in mid-December.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed that “enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing” and so far there have been no criminal charges.

They added: “Officers are supporting a teenage boy who made the report.”
