The Trade Union and Socialist Coalition is opposing austerity in Waltham Forest
Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition candidates and supporters in Waltham Forest
If you want to save our square and our trees, you can register your opposition to the plans to build monster blocks in Walthamstow town centre by voting TUSC – Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition – on 3rd May.
If you want to reopen the youth centres and expand youth services to cut across the increase in youth crime and tragic attacks on young people – you can send that message loud and clear with a vote for TUSC.
If you want to see Jeremy Corbyn’s anti-austerity manifesto turned into action in our town hall, then vote TUSC. Seventeen trade unionists, socialists and community campaigners are standing for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition across Waltham Forest.
Nancy Taaffe, Save Our Square campaign co-chair, standing in High Street ward against council leader Clare Coghill, says: “Enough is enough. For too long our jobs and services have been slashed, and working class people socially cleansed out of our borough.

“We will campaign alongside Corbyn-supporting Labour Party candidates. But we are standing where there are right-wing councillors that force through cuts and privatisation, who voted to sack youth workers, and who voted to destroy the town square.
“The council should use the reserves and borrowing powers to stop all the cuts now and build an almighty campaign to win the funding necessary from government.”
