Dragonflies in detail by Martyn Harris
I got into photography when I moved to London in 1980 and did mostly black-and-white urban and music photos. Then I had a lull for a few years until getting a better camera and experimenting with some wildlife shots. I have always loved dragonflies and damselflies and I remembered how amazing they were when I saw them while living in Dorset. When I retired, I started taking more photos and going to some of the fantastic sites in Waltham Forest, such as Walthamstow Wetlands. I now have a much better camera and lenses so I can get some amazing shots. I think the reason I love dragonflies so much is that they are virtually unchanged since prehistoric times, except for being smaller now. Hopefully I will get better and get some more amazing shots in the future.
