The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.

The ground floor of the Melbourne Road mid-terraced property was destroyed, with part of the first floor also damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.

The London Fire Brigade’s 999 Control Officers said it took 17 calls to the blaze, with the first call coming in at 1.23pm.
