Views from The Anchor and Hope by Russell Wynn
I have worked at the Anchor and Hope in Clapton for around 30 years, though I’m originally from Stroud in Gloucestershire. I’m 62 years old and a member of Bad Manners (ska band). I am also an artist, scuba diving instructor and a lot of other stuff! Watching the skyline change over the years, and the marshes over the seasons came about through boredom initially and then it was the unique light that occurs. I’ve taken photos almost every day for years, of the view from the pub looking across to Walthamstow marshes. I like the way some of the images actually look like paintings due to the quality of the camera on the phone.
