Pavement Photographs by Constance McIntosh Smith
The stories of found objects intrigue me; where do they come from and how do they get there? When I started being extra vigilant about what my tiny toddler picked up off the pavement, it was easy to be captivated by all the lost beauties we walked by every day. I started taking pictures just to remember what I’d seen, to try and capture what about that particular object caught my eye. I invite people to see not just objects that have been dropped or missed but aspects of each other as well. Things that are useless in a practical sense, or easy to overlook, are still beautiful and still very much here to be encountered.
