A plethora of parks

When I moved from a Yorkshire farm to London 30 years ago, I naively thought I’d never see green space again. Fortunately, I chose to live in Waltham Forest with its plethora of parks, including Highams Park with its 19th Century lake and Lloyd Park with its iconic William Morris Gallery. However, my favourite is Cleveland Park. Not strictly a park, but the residential area where I live. Our community has planted colourful tree pits and planters which hopefully add a little cheer to those passing along the tree-lined avenue on their way to The Scene, shops, or Walthamstow Central Station.
